Thumbs up Opera add-ons in Vivaldi

I read about this in issue 409 today and it's great to be able to get Opera add-ons in Vivaldi now. One thing that I noticed when I downloaded an Opera extension was that I didn't have to change it from .nrx to .crx - it was already .crx and installed as described in the magazine. I decided to get an extension I have in Opera which makes clickable links quickly and easily and it works fine - just checking and below is an example:

Opera add-ons

Thank you very much for this, I've often thought how good it would be to be able to get Opera extensions in Vivaldi and now I can!

Incidentally, this works in both the 1.4 stable version of Vivaldi and the Snapshot (developer) 1.5 version.

This was the case with the first one I got, but the 2nd time, I had to change it from .nrx to .crx as described in WU. I got a warning as shown below, but despite the warning, I went ahead and the extension works fine!

I'm resurrecting this thread because people might want to do this, but missed the article in WU. I came across the following article today which gives clear instructions on how to install Opera extensions in Vivaldi:

How to install Opera Extensions in Vivaldi browser? | Techdows
