Default Samsung Galaxy won't accept .wma files - how do I

change/convert all the songs that I have that are .wma files to MP3 files. I am on XP and have dowloaded Audacity and pcfreetime but haven't been able to convert my files using these. I have gone into Windows Media Player\tools\options\file types and selected Mp3 and unselected wma but songs are still .wma. I wouldn't have got this YP-G70 device if I'd had known it was not going to support .wma files. What else can I do please.

You might like to try a free file converter from here. You will be asked to 'Register Now'. Don't do that, just download the file.

The link worked OK for me with two different computers. Are you using an international ISP, such as AOL, which might allocate a non-UK IP address to your connection? It is the IP address that is used to establish the country you are in.

As far as I can see your IP address suggests that your PC is somewhere in London and you are using Virgin Media. Is that correct? Are you using a personal computer or a works machine? Do you have some sort of security software on board or are using a proxy server?

Hello Grey, yes it is a personal computer (XP) in London and I am using Virgin Media. I have Bitdefender Total Security and use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

Are you using a router? If so can you tell me which make and model?

Grey, I am not using a router - using a cable modem, if that helps.

@lolalola. To get back to your original question:

According to this, .wma is a supported audio codec.

It may be worth downloading Samsung Kies and getting any updates for your player (once you've ironed out any downloading problems )
