I don't know about Get_iPlayer but when I want to view something on iPlayer, I'll either Google for bbc iplayer and click on its link, or go to www.bbc.co.uk and click on the iPlayer tab.

That's what I do Tom. The following link is specifically for iPlayer. I usually use it for radio programmes I've missed.

BBC iPlayer

You may have either to set up an account and then sign in before you can actually use it. Some iPlayer help links. The first one below is for radio, the others are for TV:

BBC iPlayer Radio Help - How do I use BBC iPlayer Radio?

BBC iPlayer Help - Do I need a TV Licence to watch iPlayer?

BBC iPlayer: BBC's catch-up TV service - Which?

Thanks for replies.
I have no problems with iPlayer itself.
But with Get_iPlayer you are supposed to be able to keep downloads for longer than the standard 30 days.
I go abroad for longer periods so this would be useful for me.
There have been a number of mentions of it in both WU and CA.
The article I was following was in CA for 25 May - 7 June 2016 page 24.
But the interface is ridiculously complicated and I'm struggling to get the hang of it.

Ah - so Get_iPlayer is a 3rd party program.

A couple of links I've found may help, but there are a number of others on a Google search for get_iplayer

Yes it does work and will keep them after 30 days.

It can now be downloaded from

https://github.com/get-iplayer/get_i...ses/tag/3.12.0

It does take a bit of working out but it does work.

Incidentally there was a tutorial on this in either Web User or Computer Active some months ago. I can scan it for you but there seems to be no way to email it to you via this forum (Unless I am wrong) or you pm-ing me with your email address.

Perhaps if you explain how you overcame the UI then that may clear up rufford's problem.

OK Just found out how to pm. Left Click on member name and select "send pm to XX" so pm me with your email and I will email it to you.

Thanks to either Web User or Computer Active. I only took a photocopy of the page so can't determine exactly which now.

Unfortunately I last used it some months ago and only twice and to be honest I found it a bit difficult too but eventually managed it. Can't actually remember the details now or I would have done what you suggest.
