Question BT Smart Hub offer: extra 2.50/month for 18 months

Hi, BT have offered this to me that for an extra 2.50/month for a new 18 months contract (=45) I get the same Fibre package with a BT Smart Hub - which is 65 to buy separately so a saving of 20. There's 9.99 delivery charge in both cases. I have an older hub. My contract is due for renewal in few months so I'm not sure if I hold on nearer then I could get this offer for even cheaper perhaps saying "I'm going to leave you"? What do you think please?

Probably best to wait until you are at or near the end of contract to see if you can squeeze a better deal out of them.

I don't know how much flexibility their CS has but TalkTalk seem to come up with sweeteners when pushed - quite often half price for something.

When you are out of contract with TT, you continue on a rolling month at whatever you were on - less any discounted deals.

I've never been tempted to leave TT but I've threatened them with it if I wasn't happy about something - it usually works in your favour
