Default Tablet to TV

Can anyone advise me of the best way to get the image from my tablet onto a non smart tv.
I have looked at Chromecast and Amazon fire stick, but don't really know what I am doing!
Any advice will be most appreciated.

I use a Chrome Cast, the 30 ish one. It works perfectly once you have set it up. There are instructions on "You Tube" for this or within the Chrome Cast box (or there was when I bought mine about 18 months ago).

You may find that the volume on your tv may leave something to be desired once you have it working, so a sound bar, which are now reasonably priced, may be your next purchase but make sure your TV has the correct connections for it. There are some other types of Cast devices, some which have a "gizmo" controller, but I have no knowledge of them. I'm sure someone on the forum can enlighten you.

On my set up you can also go on the Blu-tooth way. That is, watch your tablet in the comfort of your chair but put the sound through on a Blu-tooth unit. These come at various prices dependant on the sound quality you are after. You do not have to connect this to your TV as it works on a standard 13 amp power plug. Set up is simple.

All depends on what your TV set is and how old, and how much you would use the Chrome Cast as to whether it is worth the outlay. Have you considered getting a smart TV?

We have 4 Chromecasts in our house now and they are brilliant. On three of the TV's it is the only 'connection' for any content.

We dont have any sound problems tbh except sometime the volume is low.

We use Terranium TV for a lot of our content.

Its also available on Kodi I believe. We use lots, 99% for TV programmes before they arrived on our Virgin TV package. We like to binge watch when we want to and this enables us to do so.
