The cover of The Sunday Times Magazine says " Flying Saucers Attacks" and "The Truth is out There". Very worrying I think we should be told the truth.

Shades of the Orson Welles radio broadcast of "War of the Worlds" which caused fear amongst 1950's USA.

Why do these flying saucers never land in the UK, France, Spain, Australia, etc. The truth is because there is no such thing as flying saucers outside of science fiction novels and Hollywood.

If they have the technology to get here they would surely have the technology to know that if they land in the USA they will be shot to pieces by the 'Gun tooting Yanks'

I find it difficult to believe that we have the only planet that supports life, so I think that somewhere out there, there will be similar planets to ours.

It may not be life as we know it or in a biped form, but I believe.

Whether they have reached this planet or not, just as we want to explore space, then I think other civilisations will be aspiring to the same.

Even Mars is now thought to have microbial life - just hope it wasn't the cause of destroying life as we know it as they seem to be planning to bring a specimen to Earth at sometime in the future.

Given the unimaginable size of the universe it seems unlikely that we are the only lifeforms but given the also unimaginable distances involved it is also unlikely they can get to us or us to them.
Even though light travels at around 186,000 miles per second the planets nearest to us (not including our solar system) that may support life would be seeing us as we were several hundred years ago.

I read the Times article and I think it's as true as the Loch Ness Monster it's good for tourism .
May the force be with you.

Lol That made me smile!

When I explain to my wife how it would be impossible for aliens to get to earth she always answers that they come via some sort of time gate whatever that is? She does watch a lot of odd stuff on TV mind.
