Default Collating serial numbers from multiple iPads.

At work, I have been given the task of collating the serial numbers of all our (250+) iPads ready for the auditors coming in on Tuesday.

We have docks that hold up to 32 iPads at once and one Mac Book Pro that I use to download apps through iTunes and then sync onto the multiple iPads.

I'm after a way of collating the serial numbers (32 at a time) and pasting them into a text editor (does the Mac Book Pro have one?) so that I can then print the list off.

Is there a way to do this or will I have to click on every iPad that appears on the left hand side in iTunes and write down the serial number one by one, by hand (which would be very time consuming considering how many iPads we have)?

Thank you,

Gareth

I don't know about the batches of 32 (I only have one iPad!), but in the iTunes "Edit" menu there is the option to "Copy Serial Number" of the connected device. That can then be pasted into the Mac's TextEdit application. Presumably, if you have the facility to connect multiple iPads simultaneously, all serial numbers will be listed and can then be copied/pasted into TextEdit, or any other word processor that you have installed.
