Default Sleeping problem 1

Hello everyone,
Most of the time when my computer goes to sleep, hitting the space bar once will wake it up and go to the log on screen. More & more lately, hitting the space bar doesn't wake it up. I hit the space bar a bunch of times, hit keys, hit esc. Nothing happens. When I click the mouse a couple times, the rotating wheel pops up like not responding. If I hit the space bar at that time, sometimes the log on screen appears. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm wondering if it is a power management problem. Have you tried...

Network Connections | Wi-Fi Properties | Configure... | Power Management |
"Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" - Check the box.

You may find this article of use.

OK. I checked all that and everything already matches. It also matches what was stated in your attached article. Could background processes running cause this?

I also use Chrome & Firefox as my 2 browsers. I keep many windows open. Does one drain resources more than the other?
