Are you getting any error messages or does it work in Safe Mode with Networking ?

On the off chance that this is infection related, read though this article on how to run Chameleon - https://support.malwarebytes.com/docs/DOC-1314

Should that come back clean and MBAM still won't open, run the MB-Clean tool and then reinstall.

Have a look here too:

FAQ - Malwarebytes won't run or failed to resolve my issues - Malware Removal Self-Help Guides - Malwarebytes Forums

If all else fails, try a clean removal/reinstall as described here:

MBAM Clean Removal Process - Malwarebytes 3 Support Forum - Malwarebytes Forums

NB If you're running Malwarebytes Premium and do a clean uninstall/reinstall, be sure to take notice of the warning displayed. This will also apply if you run the Clean Uninstall Tool linked to by Cantrel

I haven't seen Chameleon in the free version of Malwarebytes even when I looked in the folder in Program Files. For anyone reading this thread who wants to use it, you can download it here:

No, I couldn't find it either and yet in one of the updated versions it was supposed to have been included.

@ buster2 - Are you using the free or Premium version of MBAM and were you able to access Chameleon as per those instructions ?

Did you test your download link - I have.

The screen went black with a small cmd window popping up to say it couldn't find MBAM even though I have it installed.

It then proceeded to download and install Malwarebytes Antimalware which required a reboot to effect.

I found I then had two icons on my desktop - the original one and one showing as MBAM Antimalware.

On double clicking on that icon, the program opened and proceeded to update its Definitions where I got a notification there was an updated version available.

I accepted that which then removed both icons and left me with just the original.

This wouldn't open MBAM so I used IObit Uninstaller to remove MBAM and used your link again for Chameleon which went through the same process, but this time the final icon opened the program.

However, there's still no sign of Chameleon in Program Files or Program Files (x86)/Malwarebytes.

So did I Tom, I always do! I just got sent to the page with the URl I'd made the link from - ths one:

https://www.malwarebytes.com/chameleon/

The above URL is the same as the one used in my original link, I've just checked it. It explains all about Chameleon there and there's a download link there too. I have no idea why the link behaved like that for you - I've tested it twice today now as well as doing so originally.
