Having run the FRST fix he now wants to see if sfc /scannow is still reporting corruption.

EDIT - your CBS log must still be reporting corruption so he's constructed another fix.

Just had a look at your Sysnative thread - have you run SURT again as requested and then for you to attach the CheckSUR log ?

It looks like those FRST fixes haven't resolved the manifest problems yet.

Looking at your thread - you're doing well.

It looks like he wants you to repeat a SFCFix.exe script.

Hi Cantrel, This System Update Readiness Tool , I think I downloaded It and installed it but I can't find it on my system. Is it a 'one off' ? i.e. every time i want to run it I have to download it again? Alex thanks!

Yes, it is a one off run.

Given that it's such a big download then it's best to select Save on the download and then run it from your Downloads folder.

I wasn't sure from your helper's last post what he wants you to do.

If you feel the same way, then ask him which reply number his attachment is in.

It looks like it may have been fixed depending upon what a sfc /scannow as requested reports.

Looks like the problem has been solved. The scan came back with no errors and I'm over the moon!. If I could only remember half of what he got me to do I'd be happy! But I must thank you for your patience and help on pointing me on the right road, thanks again Cantrel
