I have uninstalled CCleaner as I only used it to check startup items. I also got annoyed of various elements of CCleaner that started up on boot up.

Did you not just go to the Startup items in CCleaner and disable and then delete the unwanted items under the 3 headings?
CCleaner certainly doesn`t start when my laptop boots up as it is set not to in the Windows setting of Starup.

Mmm - that's odd Clive.

I assume that when you were perusing Startup, you had disabled CCleaner ???

I've had no problems with the latest version of CCleaner.

CCleaner is set for me the same as it is for The Badger ~ I assume that this is the default setting as Iíve never changed anything there. Although there isnít the Startup option ~ as shown in Spitís post ~ in Task Manager in Windows 7, CCleaner can be stopped from running on startup by going to msconfig where you can untick CCleaner under the Startup tab there. This will become effective after a restart.

I tried everything to stop in stating up in CCleaner but it still ran on startup.
I dod not do so in Task Manager. If I install CCleaner again I will use Task Manager but as I do not need it this is unlikely.
