Default Outlook 2016 not displaying properly

In Outlook 2016 (Office 365) I get some emails that won't display pictures even after I've added sender to safe list.
Most of them are fine, it's just some of them.
I keep fiddling with the Trust Centre but it makes no difference.
Is there a way to fix this?

Also, if I click on '....view it in a web browser' from Outlook it goes to Internet Explorer - NOT to Firefox which is my default.
Obviously Microsoft knows what's best for me !!!
Is there a way to fix this?

If there's a 'view in browser' link within the email itself then it does go to Firefox though.

Thanks for help in anticipation.
