Mrs Mouse is working fine on my other laptop.

When I plug it into this laptop (USB) this mouse light goes on then out, dead.

Methinks it must be a driver/software issue.

Thanks for that, a new one for me.

OK ran it and all the tools associated, however,
Mrs Mouse does not like me and is still sleeping.

Hmm...

I think I'd be inclined to do another reset but unplug the mouse beforehand and then plug it back in when done so that it will be as out of the box for the mouse where the drivers should install as if new.

OK just tried that but unfortunately I have the same result.

When I load Windows Troubleshooter it informs me that I have
5 USB controllers that have no driver.

Also when I plug the mouse in the light goes on then off and all is dead.

Try going to the manufacturer's website and see if you can download drivers.

Perhaps the Chipset drivers need updating if using Intel or the video drivers if using an integrated AMD as the South bridge of AMD looks after the USB side of things.

Guys I thank you for all your suggestions to date.

I have tried the manufactures website to no avail, either the Dell
or the HP (mouse) has nothing to offer.

Seems like I am stuck with just using the touchpad.

Cheers

Does that include the Chipset drivers that you've looked for ?

If you mean drivers for the Intel processor then I have ran the Intel Driver & Support Assistant and that show my driver are up to date with none missing.
