If you have or can borrow a Windows CD, use it to boot and choose the repair option.

Have you tried a power shutdown and restart 2 or 3 times to see if it gives you a repair screen to go to the advanced boot options ?

Do this as soon as you get the Diagnosing if you don't get a logo.

If that can get you in then navigate to and select Command Prompt.

Enter bootrec /fixmbr

bootrec /fixboot

exit

Then restart to see if it gets past the Diagnosing this PC.

If it doesn't then repeat the process to get back to the Command Prompt.

Enter bcdedit |find "osdevice" and using the partition letter it returns, enter chkdsk x: /r where x is your partition letter.

That is a Pipe symbol before find and is the uppercase of \

It won't require a reboot to execute and will give its report on the screen, but it could take quite a while to run.

As well as looking to see what it has repaired, look to see if it reports any KBs in bad sectors.
