Default Lenovo Z500 disk erased after set to factory settings ?

I followed the instructions from you tube on how to set my Lenovo Z500 which I did and was successful when I turned it on it showed enter your details putting in the country has this erased all the data and cannot be recovered? A friend's say it hasn't advise please .

If you return the device to factory settings, it does what it says on the tin and returns the device to how it was when it came out of the box. All subsequently inputted files and programs are removed and anything installed by the manufacturer which was removed is restored. Recovery software such as Recuva may be able to recover some files, but most will probably have been overwritten.

Thank you I don't want to recover anything I'm in the process of selling it thanks .
