Default Recover lost bookmarks bar in Chrome

TodayI could not see any of my bookmarks. I tried various options but eventually went to the three bars at the top right of the Browser: 'Customise and Control Google Chrome'. I selected Bookmarks and selected 'Show Bookmarks Bar'. Problem solved.

I have no idea how it was unchecked in the first place.

As a follow up to this tip I have been reviewing all my bookmarks and deleted nearly all of them, including clearing all imported from IE. Have a look at your bookmarks and see if you still need them.

I had trouble the other day and had to disable all extensions and then re-enable them. It still looks pretty clunky. Hs no one designed a really cool bookmark manager for chrome?

I have mine arranged thus Have the Other bookmarks button (the Default item then enabled the Bookmarks Bar link .Then to keep both in Order I have enabled the Google Bookmarks Extension which was once called Google Stars as it has a Star button to Make a bookmark
called "Star this Page" >Done! Link to the Item that you can include everything else Beware! Does produce Duplicate items! See also https://goo.gl/otFoLT from 2014 ( as Google Stars)
Only Issue is it is not as glossy as the image on the Link suggests But Does produce a Colorful bookmark NO Image!

It has been given a 1 star rating by those who expected more from this, But It does the Basic job/stable and Its reasonably tidy looking (had no running issues)
And that's a 4/5 from me . Have had this for 3 yrs with over 1K Starred Links, and Links to several thou more in Custom Folders (does not keep count)
Ps I Have the Bookmark Manager Unticked on the Menu Is good for Fast finding Items on its own search box by the way

My guess is you Have the Extension installed?
To check See what shows when you Right click on the Other bookmarks Folder icon And then look to the Last 3 Items on the Menu
Which on mine are Bookmark Manager (unticked)
Show Apps Shortcut (ticked)
And the Show Bookmarks Bar also ticked

And while I was making up this Post I too "lost" the Toolbar and Favourites Links together Took us 10 minutes to recover the situation!

The Recovery is to Press the Control+B Keys OK?
