Question video editing

I just tried magix to put a 30 minute mp4 video onto a dvd. it took 4 hours to complete process. I want a simple free video editor that is easy to use. I want to be able to add start and end credits and ideally start section a Menu - chapter screen so if i add more than one video - then i can jump to second video without fast forwarding.

any recommendations.

i never get notifications to email replies on this group even if i tick option?

That may not be unusual depending on the specs of your computer.

I'm afraid I can't answer that. I've used Premiere Elements and liked it.
I currently use Premiere Pro.

Premiere Elements is reasonably priced and has a 30 day free trial period, although the exports are watermarked in the trial.
