Evening friends,

Another dull and damp one here.

Also having a bit of bother with electrics Mike. Pull switch on the bathroom wall lights is playing up. As it's been on for as long as I can remember I've added it to my B&Q list for tomorrow. It's 'wrinklies' day here at B&Q 10% off for the over 65's.

They say every age has it's compensations.

Evening Friends.

Joe All noted re the 10% discount Joe.

We have a similar thing at our local garden centre, which the OH has taken advantage of on occasions. This only applies on a Tuesday though.

Our nearest B&Q is about 5 miles away but we do have some very good local electric shops that are quite reasonably priced.

Don’t know if you’ve ever tried Amazon Joe, they do some reasonably priced cord pulls ... have a look ... HERE

Mind you, it may cost more in postage (unless you use their ‘prime’ service)

I managed to get another six weeks before the next Warfarin (INR) check. Wish they could give me the same assurance with the old back problem.

Glenda I bet there will be someone daft enough to wear those shoes with the hen’s feet on them. The mind boggles on fashion these days.

According to the weather people, we are going to have gale force winds in our part of Derbyshire tomorrow and rain to go with it.

We’re not planning to go anywhere, so hopefully, a restful day.

Clicks already done this morning.

Good Afternoon Friends,

Joe,
Judging by the result last night it sounds as though it was a good match at Bramall Lane last night.
I mistakenly thought we were away so I didn't try to get the match on Local Radio. I'm kicking myself now.

Mike,
According to the weather forecast last night that I watched late on BBC 2 we're all going to see snow from Friday/Saturday, and on Saturday we're going from these milder conditions we have at the moment to being colder that it's been so far this winter, so it'll be "wrap up warm"

Clicked.

Take care !!!

Morning Friends on a three “Ws” .. wet & windy WEDNESDAY

Glenda Nice picture, but don’t want any of that stuff yet.

............ It’s bad enough battling against the wind without that added obstruction.

Just been having a look at the lawn, it’s covered again in fallen leaves. They’ll have to stay there at the moment as I am sure there’s a lot more yet to fall.

The only advantage with added snow is that everyone else’s garden looks the same.

Brew time folks, and clicks all done.

Afternoon all,

Sounds like Derbyshire and Warwickshire are having similar weather.

Had a look at Amazon Mike but p&p puts them above B&Q's discount, but thanks anyway. I usually do check online before buying anything but completely forgot this time. If forgetting is an age thing, then that's why I've qualified for a wrinklies day discount.

Sounds like defensive problems with the Blades Glenda. Four goals should be enough to win any match. And another three goals last night for your man Clarke. I envisage vultures hovering over Bramall Lane for his signature soon.

Good morning. Read this report on the health benefits of drinking coffee.

"Coffee was also associated with a lower risk of several cancers, including prostate, endometrial, skin and liver cancer, as well as type-2 diabetes, gallstones, and gout, the researchers said. The greatest benefit was seen for liver conditions such as cirrhosis of the liver."

I clicked and finished my coffee.

Morning Friends on a much cooler THURSDAY.

Clive Yes, I did read about that. The only problem is that in a few months time someone will be saying how bad it is for you.

Mind you, it's not so bad with a wee dram in it.

Wrap up warm everyone for the next few days as colder weather on the way.

Clicks all done.

Evening friends,

Well no matter how cold it is one consolation is that we can have a break from doing this until March.

Evening Friends.

Joe Just seen your post.

I'm pleased to say, that hopefully, I shall not have to bother for a while yet.

There's a lot to be said for an artificial lawn Joe.
