Default Viewing images from memory stick when abroad

Soon to go off on holiday and would like to show my Italian relatives photographs that I have on a memory stick, either on their computer or on their television. Is there any technical reason that would prevent me doing this?

Assuming their device is able to display the usual range of image file formats there is no reason why not......And most up to date European TVs are able to recognize at least JPEG images from a USB stick, and probably much more. If your pen-drive is encrypted it could be an issue.

Bring two drives in case one doesn't work properly.

Thanks for the info, Bally and Peru. I'd thought there might be some compatability issues between British and European devices. Will get my jpegs on the stick forthwith!

You might want to invite your relatives to run a security scan on the memory stick[s] before opening the photos.

I always do this if I am using a memory stick for the first time regardless of how much I trust the source.

Thanks for the tip, Doublell. I must say that this is something that hadn't occurred to me.
