Default Ink cartridge scam video

Interesting video that explains what a total scam is being used by printer makers to exploit customers, The cost to them of making these 'expensive' cartridges will shock you!

Gets interesting around 2:20 well worth a watch.

That is brilliant and I'm sure it's 100% true! It should be compulsory viewing for everyone who has a printer! I liked the ending, excellent and I'm sure it's exactly how most people feel about their printers sometimes!

Very good. Anyone tried the re-set button trick at 6.29 on the Vid?

You want to bet! I don't just have the 'handle' scrimper, I mend things (where possible) I agree though the makers don't want you to.

I was brought up in a time where we mended stuff, so I still do.

Ditto. Chris and I always try to repair things, we can't afford to keep buying new stuff. Maybe I'll try the reset tip next time one of our inks gets low ~ if I remember!

I actually did repair an HP printer once. I noticed that there was a swollen capacitor on one of the circuit boards, so I replaced it and the printer worked for about a year until it sustained a mechanical failure.

I miss that printer, as it was one that printed on CDs and DVDs directly.
