Default HP eLITEBOOK 8470P slow and wifi problems

Dear All

I have been issued with a HP eLITEBOOK 8470P by my place of work

It is glacially slow. It can take me up to 20 mins to first log on in the morning and then up to 2 mins per task on this laptop.
How can I speed this up please?

Also

I have problems connecting to the work Wi-Fi. I had problems pre company Wi-Fi upgrade and I have problems post upgrade.
My colleagues have 1 year old or newer Toshiba laptops that do not have the number of issues I have getting on to the work Wi-Fi.
Why is this happening and what can I do to resolve my Wi-Fi connection problems please?

I have been advised by work that I am the problem, I am too slow I have a meeting with management to explain why I am so slow hence the questions

Many many thanks

We can't give advice for you to change any settings in a works computer, even if you had admin privileges on it to do so.

I suggest you report the problem to the coy's IT department or management when you see them.

Well, it was introduced in 2012 if that is any guide. Got good reviews at the time, but it all depends if it has been maintained regularly IMHO.

Sorry pinkish, but as Cantrel has mentioned above, you should contact your IT people as it's their responsibility to maintain office computers. I'm sorry we cannot help you with this. .

I shall close this thread.
