I've tried Holland and Barrett, the seem to stock most elixirs and they have nothing on their shelves. Another thing they don't sell are philtres. Strange really as you would think they would be best sellers.

I suppose I'd better give you the real answer as to what makes you young.............ng
You/ng

Good evening friends on what has been a very wet THURSDAY.

Glenda Will reply with more info' tomorrow. As you will notice, It's a late one from me tonight, had visitors most of the afternoon and not had time to correspond.

The simple maths question was 'spot on'. Best of luck with your search at Holland and Barrett's. Although I don't think you'll find any magic potions at their shop.

Clicks all done before it gets too late.

George Will also reply in more detail tomorrow.

Good afternoon friends on another wet FRIDAY

Just having a look-in to see if there's anyone about.

Good Afternoon FRIENDS,

egg: When you don't feel motivated, it's often too much work to figure out what you should do next. When faced with another decision, you will often decide to just quit. At some point, the pain of not doing something becomes greater than the pain of doing it. You should plan in advance what you would like to achieve each day and just do it. I wish I could??

Yep! adding 'ng' to the word 'you' produces 'young'. Well done but I was surprised that 'Holland and Barrett' didn't offer you Senokot!!

Mike: Your maths question at first glance looked too difficult for me and then I took a step back and suddenly saw that there must be only one answer. Good one.

Good to see you both have your feet firmly placed under the table again.

I expect to pass through this world but once; any good thing therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now; let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.

A shopkeeper decides to put all the items on sale for a week for 20% off. A week later he decides to put the items pack to their original prices. What percentage must he now increase the price of the items?

Good afternoon friends.

Yesterday I was in a small shop and they had a cash machine which charges £1.26 to use a debit card to withdraw cash. There are other cash machines not that far away. The shop accepted card payment. I can not see many making use of this service.

Unless "put the items pack" is correct the answer is 25%

Good afternoon friends,

Mike,
It's threatened rain all day but as yet nothing has emerged to submerge. I thought we were going to get submerged yesterday as the heavens opened for most of the day. The garden was so dry though that it's not penetrated yet so I expect it'll take a while to soak in.
TB,
I ought to tell you that I am an expert in procrastination.
Did you know that a bug will often spin around and walk on walls erratically, and bugs frequently procrastinate when given assignments.
But there are certain matters upon which it is not possible to procrastinate until the last moment and then to improvise successfully.
Now, you may ask, How do I overcome this procrastination,
The answer, Decision. Yes Make a decision and you'll no longer be able to use procrastination as an excuse.
Senokot........
I thought Senna was the soothsayer in Up Pompei ??? Besides, if I had a soft stool it wouldn't hold me up and I'd end up recumbent on the floor.
I think you're also trying to
hoodus by posting early in the day instead of your usual silly o clock. That way we don't get to see what time you are still NOT in bed. I've just asked Alexa "What time did George go to bed ??" I got her usual answer "I'm sorry I don't know that one !!" You've even got her keeping schtum.

You watch too many adverts.

Clive,
Thanks for doing the maths, I couldn't be bothered with all the x = the original price perplexing equation stuff. All this joined up thinking makes my head hurt

Good morning friends on this SATURDAY morning.

I do believe itís stopped raining, although I havenít been out yet to check.

Glenda Procrastination or Ďnot getting around to ití reminds me of that icon I posted a few years ago...

It is hyperlinked to the BC thread.

George and Clive Iíll leave you all to find out who this chap was; Justus von Liebig. and what did he invent?

Iíll give you a clue before you look it up on Google, he was German and invented something that you will either love it or hate it. Personally, I love it.

Matt Hope you are keeping well, not seen your post for a while.

Right friends, brew time calls before I venture out to brave the elements.

PS. Just in case that name doesnít show what he invented, then click HERE to read all about it, courtesy of Wikipedia.

Good Evening FRIENDS,

You must have been watching Flik again. Ah! well, each to their own.

I started writing this around midnight then I heard Alexa telling me to 'go to bed', so I thought I didn't want to incur the wrath of egg again! or of Alexa!!

Easy, Procrastinate now, don't put it off.

BUT! But, remember never put off till tomorrow what may be done day after tomorrow just as well.

I loved the 'Alice in Wonderland' clip.

Mike: I remember very well you posting that Tuit sign and I still have it in my bookmarks for future use and you know what I never did get 'around tuit'.

I think your Marmite link interesting .... but I no like!

FratPark: That small shop is gonna stay a small shop if that's the way they conduct business ...... ripping people off. Mind you for a long time now there has often been reports that the banks want to put a charge on so I can see it coming. On the other hand banks are making a fortune on their charges for unpaid credit, charging anything from 19.9% to 34.9%. It is interesting to note that for these unsecured bank loans it is not a criminal offence to be unable to pay. I.E they cannot take your home.

Sorry, yet another blooper. What the shop keeper was doing, in fact, was to put the items back not pack. And you are so right again the answer is 25%..........even so I cannot understand it????

Take Care !!!
