Evening friends.

Just a quick return as I didnít complete the clicks this morning.

I thought the picture below was very appropriate, so hyperlinked it for clicking on.

...................

Shopping went according to the usual routine. The traffic was just as busy, which we find is a normal occurrence these days, irrespective of the days of the week.

Mind you, I still prefer Tuesdays, as there seem to be less people shopping in the Supermarkets round our way. Probably being chauffeured by neighbours.

Clicks now completed for today.

Good Morning Friends,

Well the sun's bright in the sky but it's "freezing".
That's out back though because the sun doesn't move round there until afternoon. I've no doubt that it's lovely and warm on the front.
Pity I can't turn the bungalow round twice a day.

Clicked.

Take care !!!

Afternoon all,

Nice and sunny here also, so off out soon.

Glenda
Grass is a bit too wet to cut atm so I'm doing mine tomorrow afternoon. After which I reckon one cut late October and maybe a trim in November will be enough this year.

Mike
Tuesday seems to be the best day to shop here too. No 'specials' though, you have to arrive chucking out time for them.

Hi Folks,

Mike - Hope your back pain has eased, and you're able to get about OK again without struggling.
Regarding the snooker round-robin shoot-out between my Dad, Son, Alan (my mate and gardener) and Me ... no-one won all matches. It went down to the number of frames won, and Son edged-out both Alan and I on countback.
We made him pay for our lunch.

George - Missing you pal, and hoping that you're able to post soon.

I'm trying to tweak the Imgur code so that when you click on my small photo below, it takes you to Imgur where you can see an enlarged version.
This can be handy sometimes for posting tutorials.

So please click on my photo below ... Overlooking Rio.

Evening friends on this THURSDAY evening.

Not been a bad day weather-wise here either. At least, it’s not rained.

Rather a late/ish visit to day. Visitors only just left.

Joe I know what you mean about “specials”, you always know when there’s a reduced price product at supermarkets round our way,

they place the items at one end of the aisle, which all the regulars make a point of being first in the queue.

From what I’ve noticed though, most of the stuff being reduced in price has some form of problem with it, like very badly dented tins of soup etc.

Glenda Thought of getting one of these, but I don’t think the tonsorial artistic design would help in keeping my hair short.

............................

Hope to have more time tomorrow.

Clicks all done today.

MIKE

Spit Just seen your post. Nice picture. Will be more explicit tomorrow. Thanks for the info' re the snooker.

Good Morning Friends,

Spit,
How about this for a coincidence.
Just as I was clicking on your image this came on the radio.

Joe,
I hope you're right about cutting the grass and I don't have many more to go.
I cut mine yesterday.

Mike,
if my hairdresser had taken just a tiny bit more hair on Wednesday I'd have looked similar to your picture.
As for bargains.
I needed some compost to plant a tray of violas I bought for hopefully, a bit of winter colour.
I bought one bag from the Co-op a couple of weeks ago for £3 (25 ltrs)
I intended getting another yesterday, I got a 50 ltr bag for £2.
It was reduced from £5.
I like those types of bargains.

It's blowing a gale yet again this morning but I can't believe how mild it is.

AND .......It's THAT day........

Clicked.

Take care !!!

Evening all,

Lawns cut even though a few spots fell.

Afterwards I went up town and saw something on the way back which I think is worth relating.

About a mile from where I live I noticed a telephone line had been severed, and it reminded me of a similar happening to me some time ago.

A bin lorry passing my house struck a telephone pole which resulted in the overhead BT lines to several properties being disconnected.
Having no 'phone or BB working I called up BT on a mobile and informed them as to what had happened. The net result was that a week or two later I received £25 compensation for loss of service.

We used to "do for" an old chap who lived opposite who was also disconnected and he told us that he had received nothing at all,so I contacted BT on his behalf and asked why this was so. I was told that as he had not made contact with them to
report the incident, the severence to his property had not been logged and processed so he was not entitled to any compensation.

The moral here then is clear, if anything like this happens you know what to do.

Joe

You did your good deed Joe. I bet he felt like leaving BT though. I would have thought they would at least have recompensed him for loss of service.

I think we are going to be dealing with the daughter of Polonius next week; you know that friend of Hamletís ďOpheliaĒ

Funny how they come up with these names isnít it. I often wonder why these names are associated with hurricanes. I bet Shakespeare wouldnít have known either.

Spit The back problem has eased somewhat thanksí for asking. Looking forward to next snooker TV showing. Shame about Willie Thorne though isnít it .. have a look HERE

I thought he gave a good commentary on events.

Glenda You certainly have to watch these price anomalies donít you. As an example, at one supermarket last week, a3 tin pack of Heinz Beans cost £1. The same product this week was £1.70.

At one time they put prices up by a couple of pence, these days they think nothing of increasing the price by 10 or 20p and thatís just for small items.

Right friends, hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

The important clicks all done.
