Default Virtual Machine issue (Oracle VM)

Hi,

Have just set up a new PC and installed Oracle VM.

I have got XP installed, and everything is working fine, except for one thing.

I am trying to access a USB stick from the VM.
Normally, right ctrl and Home brings up a sub menu, and the usb stick is shown under devices/usb etc.
The USB stick IS showing in this menu, (so presumably XP on the VM can see it), but I get this message when I select the USB stick:

1 - Why - there are 2 x USB ports.
2 - Both ports are working and I've tried the USB in both available ports.
3 - How can I transfer files from W10 Desktop to the VM if I can't use a USB.
(Have googled this, but it looks VERY complicated to use shared folders.

Thanks

Default Re: Virtual Machine issue (Oracle VM)

Solved!!!

All my USB sticks are USB3.

When I used an old USB 2 stick, it worked.

I suppose xp doesn't recognise usb3...
