Default Notification anomaly

My internet icon indicates I have no "internet access" with an exclamation mark in an orange triangle, but I`m using the internet. Any ideas?

Thanks

A possibility is sometimes you can get seemingly conflicting messages between wireless & ethernet options.

I get that sometimes too. It usually happens when the connection has failed for some reason and then the 'no internet access' message remains even though access has been restored. Very confusing!

You could try right clicking on the icon and select Troubleshoot problems to see what it comes up with.

So what is its status now ?

If it still has the alert on it then I'd try either a computer reboot or a router reboot.

It's amazing what a restart will solve

It’s worth just logging off the user account and logging back on again, I think that may have worked for me but I’m not sure; a restart definitely works!
