Default Old software discs - Any good now?

I have been given some old software discs by a friend of mine, such as "Serif Photoplus 11".
Looking at the specs, most were to run on Windows 98SE, or XP OS. 245 MB. 800 x 600 resolution. 16 bit colour resolution or higher.
As I,m running Windows 10 and could probably get a free more up dated version, I don't think they are of any use to me, but before I trash them I wondered if they might be of use to any charities, or something else. I hate chucking stuff away, lol

I've been using Lotus 123 for years, well, since around 95/6....And it still works on W10. No need to change what I like using... I have the software to convert it to Libre should I need to.

We still use dBase III+ which was originally on floppy disks. It works on Windows XP, Windows Virtual XP in Windows 7, but not on Windows 10.
Always check for bundled unwanted extras when downloading and installing any new software and be sure to decline them.
Use custom install when itís available. Read all of every window before clicking.
