I haven't seen this puzzle, it must have been some time ago, when I was away.

Is the answer 8?

But I wonder how they would fare with a Pythagoras theorem??

That sounds like a lot of gardening, hope you have some White Horse Oil !?
It was sunny today perhaps you were able to wear your swimming cossie for the ''last of the summer wine'', and sunshine??

Mike: Yes! you got the puzzles right, well done. Answer to No.1= 12 years. Answer to No.2 = 9 pm.

I hope you enjoyed that well deserved brew??

FratPark: Well done, Clive. You're so early with the first correct answer which was 12 years thank you.
But what happened with your clock??

mrmatt: Thanks for your comments re 'recovery. I had to bring 'Recuva' up to check it out and it is out of the Piriform stable (CCleaner, etc). I ran the programme and came up with lots of recover points but I didn't use it and couldn't see anything about paying. So you must have been correct in saying it was on a voluntary basis (I didn't get that far.) I'm very happy at the moment with Typio it's simpler and brings up immediately the lost text.
You using a memory stick is interesting.

Take Care !!!

#1. Jimmy buys a fishing pole that is 3.6 metres long. As he goes to get on the bus, the bus driver tells him that he can't take anything on the bus longer than 3 metres. The boy goes back to town, buys one more thing, and the bus driver allows him on the bus.
What did he buy?

#2. What type of cheese is made backwards?

Recuva supposedly has a good reputation when it comes to data recovery, better than some 'paid-for' ones even.

To me, there doesn't seem any point in installng a program like that on to a computer, as in doing so you are probably overwriting some of the data you are trying to get back. There are portable versions (for memory sticks) of all their software on their website.

Good Evening

Really happy as Portsmouth win and go six points clear.

As for the latest challenge.

You can not make anything smaller so guess a cover was purchased which covered up the long item.

Edam is 'made' backwards!

All the best,

Clive

Good morning friends on a cloudy SUNDAY morning.

George

Using Pythagorean theorem, the boy went back to the store to ask for a 3’x4′ box. He put the rod in diagonally, and boarded the bus.

Here you are George Pythagorean theorem explained.

Clive’s answer to the cheese problem is what I got as well.

Glenda A day to relax after all that hard work in the garden yesterday.

Matt Hope the weather stays like that for you, our forecast is not as promising.

Clicks all done for today.

Good afternoon friends,

Mike, Clive,
I'm glad you both keep solving TB's puzzles, it saves me precious brain power.

Matt,
Do another post QUICK !!!!
You're on 666

TB,
The reason I don't put answers to your puzzles is because they have already been answered so I don't even "think" of an answer. That is unless I "think" the answer is incorrect.
As for Pythagoras, he was a square !!! or was that a hypotenuse ???
Whatever !!!

I don't think so. I don't want to scare the birds away.
I don't have any White Horse Oil, do you recommend it then ???
I usually contact Lily the Pink, she has a vast catalogue of embrocations, liniments and medicinal compounds that are most efficacious in every way.

Good evening friends.

Just thought I would have a look in before retiring for the night.

Glenda Just wondering if you have heard anything from Liz lately. Hope she is still progressing with her treatment.

Just thinking about the recent puzzles that George posted, I thought this one was a funny one;

What do you call two witches that live together?

MIKE

PS. Couldn't resist not explaining in case someone might have got the wrong idea.... Broom mates

Good morning friends on a rather cool MONDAY morning.

A rather bad night again last night so a quick post this morning friends.

Just a mention about your post yesterday Glenda

I’m probably being a little naive here Glenda although, thinking about it, it could well be a firm specialising in medicinal products.

The “Lily the Pink” song from about 1963 if I remember correctly was a song which was sung by different groups in those days. I’ve no doubt if you Google it, it will tell you who it was.

Hopefully, will be back later when I’ve caught up with some sleep.

Good afternoon friends,

Mike,
I haven't heard from Liz for a while, I'll send her an email and let you know when I receive a reply.
Talking of emails...........
I received a text message on Saturday
Quote:
Microsoft account glenda@plant................freeserve.co.uk
has been closed for good. Goodbye.
The "Lily the Pink I referred to was indeed
The Scaffold

and not a supplier of medicinal needs.
The group The Scaffold included - Mike McGear (real name Peter Michael McCartney, the brother of Paul McCartney)

TB,
May I recommend these.......
