Default Internet dropouts

Happy New Year everybody.
I have an HP Notebook on Windows 10 connected by WiFi adaptor.
In the last week, I have been experiencing several internet dropouts & when I run Windows Network Diagnostics, I receive this message.

"Ethernet" doesn't have a valid IP configuration.

I usually connect after running diagnostics again although I sometimes have to run diagnostics 2 or 3 times before a successful connection is made.
I have no problems on my Medion Desktop connected by Ethernet cable.
Can anybody offer any advice.

Default Re: Internet dropouts

I've never come across that error message from troubleshooting when using wireless.

The problem with Win 10 (if you can call it that) is that when Ethernet is connected, that disables wifi which is why I'm puzzled by that message.

Open a Command Prompt (Admin) and enter these cmds, once while wifi connected and then again when Ethernet connected, but it could also be a driver problem.

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /renew
