Default Monitor fault?

I have an Acer W700 Tablet, which I connect to a larger Monitor (connected to an older working PC) by means of a USB/HDMI lead.

Since the beginning of November the Tablet won't recognize the monitor. I bought a new lead, but still have got no joy. I wonder if something in Windows 10 could be causing this?

Can anyone help, please?

I assume you are connecting the tablet direct to the monitor rather than via the PC ? If so it can be a Win 10 problem.

Is there a source button on the monitor to change from HDMI - VGA - DVI etc etc ?

Hi Space_Cowboy, thanks for reply.

I connect the tablet direct to the monitor via the HDMI/USB lead.

Switching between the two displays by means of a simple screen "touch".

I have had this set-up for about three years now, so cannot understand why it should suddenly malfunction.

Hope you will be able to throw some light on this.
