Try out MapsGL (Beta) on Google Chrome

If you are running Google on Google Chrome why not try out this Beta experiment for Google Maps called MapsGL what it does is Speeds up the Streetview response time with a Hybrid Google Earth Look (without the toolbar luggage)
and unlike the Google Maps Version It also has the "Click on a spot almost Instant Streetview" zoom in Mode (as seen on Google Earth)

They say :

We've rebuilt Google Maps from the ground up. Our enhanced Maps provide improved performance, richer 3D graphics, smoother transitions between imagery, 3D photo tours, 45? view rotation, easier access to Street View and more.

There was some modifications Posted this month on the Link above

To activate click the Button on the weblink then Open Google Maps in Chrome Then click on the "New" Link in the text Box

When its activated it shows as: MapsGL enabled

CON It may not work with certain Graphics cards (Older Models?) but if it works then Good
