Default Ipad2 or new iPad 3rd gen screen

Interested in readers comments/advice of text and camera photo images displayed on screen when viewing in normal daylight. Are they easily read even with screen Brightness at max ?
I dont refer to screen reflections or used in direct sunlight. I have experienced dificulty with a smartphone screen almost impossible to read text outdoors with 20/20 vision.
Thanks in advance for any comments.

Hello frazer. You're best bet is to go to a phone or Apple store and get a demo iPad in your hands. How you perceive screen content is a very individual thing. With one switched on, you should be able to access the brightness control in Settings and hopefully you'll be in a shop with daylight streaming through a window.

You can also pinch and zoom the screen to make content bigger to aid reading.

The latest iPad has phenomenal resolution which should also help text to be more legible and less fatiguing to read.

Hello Spiraleye. What you suggest is sound advice and intend to action accordingly. Whilst i do not intend to use the iPad solely as a dedicated camera if I can not clearly see the scene composition on the rear facing screen in daylight it is likely to be a No No for me.
