Suggestions needed

Can anyone suggest a few ideas on how I can get my viewers to interact with my website?

Poll

I guess they'd have to be aware of it first and what sort of prizes did you have in mind for the comps ?

I've never had any interest in polls unless it was on a serious issue, so that would have to be of sufficient interest to get the juices flowing, but there's probably quite a number of those who don't care what the topic is and just like to make their gobs go

As for anyhing else, then I guess it will be "Answers on a postcard please"

For the monthly competition prize I was thinking of a signed photo of a famous climber. My site is all about Mount Everest and I am in touch with lots of well known climbers, past and present.

A wonderful site for all Mount Everest enthusiasts, but a bit impersonal with just fact and figures. Your panorama video link from the top is awe-inspiring, but there are some YouTube videos you could link to, especially an IMAX 1080p one, though I forget the actual link for the moment. Do a search.

Maybe watch a (any) (specific) video and then answer questions on the video just watched.

Again, competition prizes are a bit feeble. If I had to choose between a signed photograph of Sir Edmund Hillary, Elton John, Che Guevara or Twiggy, then I'd probably choose the one from Twiggy.

Anyway, your site is excellent and you're doing a great service to the Everest expeditions.

I like your site, its well laid out and informative. In stead of a static gallery you could set up a viewer where the user has to scroll or click through photos.maybe some music. I imagine you are/where a climber, what about podcasts of your own experiences. As for a competition, a lot of work,what would be the prize, how long do you run it for. Just one thing your facebook link spoils the layout it really looks out of place.
