Default Error 0xc01a001d

Having tried to install SP2 on daughters laptop last night, it restarted but is now stuck on a screen with error code 0xc01a001d. Tried using safe mode but sticks on there as well. Anybody got any ideas?

From the same menu from which you selected "Safe Mode", can you get in by booting the "Last known good configuration"?

There appears to be a Repair Tool for the 0xC01A001D error on this site.

Unhappy Re: Error 0xc01a001d

I have been into all options including last known good configuration but still get the same error code. I also tried the repair tool by downloading onto a cd then rebooting with cd in but it dont work either.

See if Microsoft's solution to the problem helps.

Searching on Google, it appears that many users have had to resort to reinstalling Windows in order to overcome the problem.
