Shame about that. Thought we were getting somewhere.

That took 37 secs to appear.

It doesn't seem faster to me. By the way, Peru's post and pic were similar to mine in post #125 - he was getting a message about making a search I think.

Yes, but his pic was too big for the forum and was stretching the post window which is why I removed it.

I also was getting that search pop up but it was too quick to read fully.

I guessed that's why you removed it Tom. I think it was still there when I made post #127 and I had to use the 'Post Reply' button at the end of the posts on the left hand side, rather than clicking on the 'Quick reply to this message' button in a post.

Edit: Today I'm back to getting messages as mentioned in post #18 and shown here:

Web User Forums - View Single Post - Bizarre and idiotic forum error messages

At least editing seems mostly to be back to a box within the original post though.

I opted to use Imgur after Photobucket decided to pull the plug on hosting images that are posted to third-party websites ... such as forums etc.

I found that tweaking the Imgur code by simply adding an additional letter to it, made it very simple to control the physical size of posted images.

For these forums, I find that always adding the letter l is ideal ... not too small and not too big.

Also see my post here ……….

Here are all the dimensions and letters to choose from:
• s = Small Square (9090)
• b = Big Square (160160)
• t = Small Thumbnail (160160)
• m = Medium Thumbnail (320320)
• l = Large Thumbnail (640640)
• h = Huge Thumbnail (10241024)

I've switched to https://postimages.org/ you can set your images to automatically resize at upload for whatever purpose they are intended for.

So far I've just uploaded them without using the auto resize at upload.

You get a 'share' button on your Album Page(s) when this is clicked you get a list of links to choose from there are more than on Photobucket plus each link has a worded label such as 'for forum posts' so it's easy to choose the right link.

Up to know when ever I have chosen the 'for forum posts' link the picture has always been the perfect size. Could be just coincidence I suppose but I've been using it ever since PB started messing about and all posted pics from 'Postimage' have been just the right size which was not the case with PB where I had to quite often delete a pic and quickly resize it before the forum edit time expired then resubmit it.

Are we to live with postings still taking a long time to show in the forums or is any information on resolving the problem forthcoming, please?
