If you have a bit of velcro, see if it with resist motion if you press it on to the carpet and pull it in the direction that the rug moves. If it does, you could try sewing lengths of it to the rug....

It says they are for rugs om Medium Pile. That's the catch. Medium looppile maybe ok, good quality cut pile - no way.

This is an age old issue and there is no perfect cure apart from nailing the rug down with mushroom head carpet nails. It's caused by the pile on the underlying carpet having a built in tendency to...
