Re: Boris or Corbyn?

I have to agree with everything you say, but wasn't it ever thus! MP's 'feather' their nests whilst the ordinary people pay for the 'feathers'!

Re: Windows 10 - August 14, 2018—KB4343909 (OS Build 17134.228)

Mine downloaded yesterday, I only knew when I went to put the PC to sleep when the update showed. I put the PC to sleep at 12:00 midnight and on turning on this morning the update had been done and...

Re: Is the US government hiding UFOs in a Las Vegas hangar?

Lol That made me smile! :)

When I explain to my wife how it would be impossible for aliens to get to earth she always answers that they come via some sort of time gate whatever that is? She does...

Re: Is the US government hiding UFOs in a Las Vegas hangar?

Given the unimaginable size of the universe it seems unlikely that we are the only lifeforms but given the also unimaginable distances involved it is also unlikely they can get to us or us to them....

Re: Is the US government hiding UFOs in a Las Vegas hangar?

If they have the technology to get here they would surely have the technology to know that if they land in the USA they will be shot to pieces by the 'Gun tooting Yanks'

Re: Is the US government hiding UFOs in a Las Vegas hangar?

Whilst I do believe that it is likely there are other 'beings' in the universe I also believe it unlikely that they could or have visited us especially considering the sheer distances involved, it...

Re: Is the US government hiding UFOs in a Las Vegas hangar?

Although I am not in anyway suggesting that aliens have visited earth there is IMHO more likelihood of that than of the existence of God, yet people allow their whole life to be affected or ruled by...

Re: Boris or Corbyn?

I would quite like to know how you know this information? Do you have access to some secret information that others don't have, I always thought a persons voting habit was secret?

Re: Movie mistakes and more

Amazes me how people manage to spot all these mistakes, perhaps they would be better enjoying the film instead! lol

Re: Boris or Corbyn?

This is good to hear, listening to the SNP one is given the feeling that all Scots support them and their constant wish for having nothing to do with the rest of the UK.

Re: Boris or Corbyn?

TBH I think you missed the point of what castman was making in that the SNP lost 21 seats at the last election! They had 56 seats and ended up with 35!

Re: Boris or Corbyn?

They do not need to spend all that money on HS2 to get there earlier, simple answer just take an earlier train!

I am happy if they spend the money on the railways but on existing ones which...

Re: Risk of 'Hothouse Earth' despite CO₂ cuts

Reactionary? I suggest you do some research on that! there is irrefutable evidence that harm has been done. I don't need to explain it but if you do a search on google you will find plenty of...

Re: Boris or Corbyn?

Well I would vote for that and from what my friends have said it would be really popular, Cancelling HS2 and spending it on our existing network would get my vote too.

As for paying for...

Re: An Open Letter to Microsoft About Poor Windows 10 Update Experiences

No disrespect but I would suggest that you are blaming W10, but from what you have said in this thread I would say it's just a coincidence that you have been unlucky with your 2 computers and have...

Re: Boris or Corbyn?

IMHO Boris does and says some silly things but this time he is correct in not apologising, he stated his opinion (which I imagine a huge number of folk agree with) he is entitled to express that...

Re: Risk of 'Hothouse Earth' despite CO₂ cuts

Does really matter whether what the 'experts' say is right or wrong do we really want to take the risk of ruining our planet? Surely no one can argue that having over 1 billion motor vehicles...

Re: An Open Letter to Microsoft About Poor Windows 10 Update Experiences

I would have thought that newer PC's would be better with W10 rather than the other way around TBH.

My latest Dell 3650 about 18 months old is perfect with W10 but then so is my Medion 6486...

Re: Risk of 'Hothouse Earth' despite CO₂ cuts

It may well be true that the whole thing is a con but even if we have irrefutable evidence that what we do will not harm or change the earth surely it is sensible not to want to cause pollution to...
